Fifty Years of Practice

A Legacy of Embodied Wisdom

For more than fifty years, I have walked beside people through some of life's most profound transitions—helping them move beyond pain, reconnect with themselves, and discover that healing is not about becoming someone new, but remembering who they have always been.
Movement was my first language. As a professional dancer, I became fascinated by the extraordinary intelligence of the human body and its remarkable capacity to heal. That journey led me to Structural Integration, trauma healing, somatic psychology, neuroscience, neurofeedback, and healing traditions from around the world. Each has deepened my understanding of one simple truth:
The body remembers.
And the body knows how to heal when we learn to listen.
Today, my work weaves together science, touch, movement, mindfulness, and compassionate presence to support healing on every level—body, mind, emotion, and spirit. Whether I am working one-on-one, leading a retreat in Barbados, teaching movement, facilitating a drum circle, or training the next generation of practitioners, my intention is always the same: to create a safe space where transformation becomes possible.
I believe healing is our birthright.
It is not about fixing what is broken. It is about rediscovering balance, resilience, and the wisdom that has always lived within you.
As the founder of the International Institute of Healing & Cultural Arts, I am equally passionate about expanding access to trauma-informed care and mentoring future practitioners, particularly those who will bring healing into communities that have historically had limited access to culturally responsive care.
Open Heart was created as more than a wellness practice.
It is a sanctuary.
A place where science and spirit meet. Where movement becomes medicine. Where grief can soften, trauma can transform, and hope can quietly return.
I would be honored to walk beside you on your journey.

My Guiding Principle

Grief is a landscape to move through with patience and grace, not a condition to overcome.
I hold space for the body to unburden its memories, fostering profound healing.
